WASHINGTON, D.C., January 27, 2026 – The United States Footwear Manufacturers Association is pleased to welcome to its growing ranks Belleville Boot Company, a longtime manufacturer of high-quality footwear for the U.S. armed forces.
The family-owned business, founded in Belleville, Illinois, in 1904, has four manufacturing facilities, including in Dewitt and Forrest City, Arkansas, and Carthage, Missouri.
“Belleville is the oldest manufacturer of high-quality, high performance combat boots for the U.S. military,” said USFMA Executive Director Bill McCann. “It has been equipping our troops, through thick and thin, for generations, dating back to World War I.”
“We could not be more excited to have the Belleville team lend its deep experience in domestic manufacturing to USFMA’s ambitious vision for expanding American-made military footwear,” McCann added.
“We support the USFMA’s mission of growing the broader domestic industrial base for footwear manufacturers and suppliers,” said Mark Ferguson, Belleville Boot Company President. “Military footwear is our core business, and we look forward to assisting with the association’s efforts to revitalize the defense industrial base for U.S. made military footwear.”
Belleville contracts directly with the U.S. military for its industry-leading line of boots that propel our men and women in uniform from basic training through combat operations, in every environment. Belleville boots are also available through exchange stores on military bases and online.
“There is a good reason why our personnel worldwide often affectionately refer to their boots as ‘Bellevilles,’” said McCann. “They are widely recognized for their quality, comfort, and durability. And they are made in the USA.”
